Some questions and help requested on that winchester 92

Well to start.
I have the lever/ bolt stuck open right now.
I can't get the two locking parts out.
Not sure what to do there ?

The other general question would be about sights.
Would these be the standard ones ?

The sights look original, a set screw to hole the front sight in and the rear blade is reversable from V to U notch, if I remember right!
Hard to tell what is jamming up your action without knowing how far it's dis-assembled.  92/94's are a little more complicated than Marlins!

Quite a few 92 teardown vids online to choose from.  Probably good to go through at least a couple.  My first thought is if the lever, bolt, and locking parts are binding up, try to diagnose with the sear, hammer, and mainspring out of the gun.

My Dad's brought home a good selection of old Winnie levers, and due to his hand issues, it's been my mission to tear down, degunk, re-lube, and reassemble a good percentage of their model line once, maybe twice.  Mostly what I've learned from the experience is. . .#1, They take patience, and #2, I'd MUCH rather work on his Marlins. :D

I can't find my copy of Nick Stroebel's Old Gunsights at the moment, but my Standard Catalog of Winchester Firearms shows those same sights on two Sporting Rifles.  The Saddle Ring Carbine appears to have used something different.

    Thanks guys
I do like the sights on it.
They should make for some precise shooting if my barrel cleaning....getting the lead out did the trick.

Unfortunately I won't be finding out today.

The Marlin is up next for the scrub down

    I didn't yet Ron.
I don't want to mess anything up so I'll just wait for now.
I am anxious to see what it will do now.
I thoroughly cleaned the Marlin and the results were interesting.

    Define “interesting”?
What stage are you in the ‘92 disassembling?

I started a tread on the interesting....it was really weird.

    I'm in a holding pattern.
I Didn't do much disassembly at all.
