Years ago a lady ran into one of our stations and exclaimed breathlessly to the Fireman on duty, "There are cows in the road!"

His reply, " Are they on Fire?"

One of the new taxi drivers called the police dispatch one night and told them his car was stalled, and it was blocking the road, so could they send an officer out to push his car off the road? Surprisingly enough, they declined.:uhm:
