Southland is pretty entertaining, about the best cop procedural show right now, I think.

Got a great tagline from a book I'm now reviewing... Cops call a certain crime a "Mulwray" taken from Chinatown. Aka, father-daughter incest. It's their codeword.

Btw, I can highly recommend the new Chicago-based cop/crime novel "Start Shooting" by Charlie Newton. Deep noir, rough crime, language, violent and superbly written. Probably will be a big hit.

I may have mentioned, I'm now writing mystery novel reviews for the online mystery mag "Over My Dead Body" (omdb.com). They send me a few books every month and I write the reviews. Southland and Justified are 2 shows I DVR to make sure I can watch them at some point in the week. Great characters, situations; no one character is untouchable etc.
