    Latest news has the Garands OK to be reimported , but not the carbines , since they take a detachable 'over 10rd' magazine , are not gonna come home.

    You'd think the obvious compromise would be to not bring the magazines home... Looks like I'll have to wait on my M1 Carbine for awhile...
