Falklands War: UK and Argentina mark invasion 30 years on

Are we right, should the islanders have a choice?

Personally I am very proud we gave them the chance to have a say in who they are.
More than proud of the 255 who died doing the job.
Your thoughts.

    They would have to be insane to become Argentinian citizens; their economical and political system is a joke! Their president is making all this fuss because she has an economical disaster on the making, and is using this matter to distract the people from all the money her corrupt political party is making under the table....poor Argentinians; such a beautiful country that could be as rich as Australia but has chosen to slowly become Haiti.

    'President Fernandez’s’ government seems to be slipping away from its traditional pro-Western position, and growing closer to Venezuela, Bolivia, Cuba and even Iran.
    Argentina's problems are certainly worsening. After 10 years of growth, the official inflation rate is 7%, but private economists currently put it at 22%.
    Wage demands are mounting, and low and middle-income families are starting to struggle.'

    We did seem to upset them earlier this year;
    ‘The Ministry of Defence has said Prince William's posting - as part of an RAF crew of four - is a "routine deployment" for a Sea King pilot as part of "normal" squadron rotation.’
    'Buenos Aires has described it as a "provocative act" and said the duke would be wearing "the uniform of a conqueror" when he deploys.
    Argentina's foreign ministry said it "rejected the British attempt to militarise conflict".'
