BTW, I'm confused: is Obama a fascist or communist/socialist? Because I see folks comparing him to Hitler and to Lenin/Mao/Stalin. Historically the two have been quite opposed in their implementation, with the Nazis being as much socialist as the USSR was really made up of republics, i.e. the people had free and open elections for their representatives...

There are not many differences between Nazi's and Communists, mostly in the economic area. Basically the results of the effects of both systems on the populations were exactly the same. In fact, Ovomit would be more Nazi-like, because he favors crony capitalism, just like Hitler did.

    Gentlemen:
I think we should all take a deep breath and stop making references to Hitler, Nazis and the holocaust. Also it is over the top to say the president is in favor of lynchings and race riots. We all can get very emotional about politics in such a messy and never ending campaign. But it does no good to use language that might encourage someone to do something really stupid. It's a very important topic—POTUS vs. SCOTUS—and is historical in nature. But let's tone it down a bit.

For my part, consider the reference to "race riots and lynching" to be my somewhat embellished interpretation of his actions in the last couple of weeks. He has egged on the race pimps in the Trayvon Martin case while they whip up the reactionaries with incorrect or unconfirmed 'evidence,' and then stood silent while Spike Lee and the new and improved Black Panthers place rewards on a citizen who is entitled to due process, even if he did actually do what they all allege. This, from an educated man who supposedly is a Constitutional expert, and as President should be trying to lower the temperature, until the facts are made public. This behavior comes mighty close to what I consider to be the sanctioning of the street demonstrations that invariably end up in violence, usually to some unsuspecting person who has nothing whatever to do with the original injustice, if there truly is one.

Add to that the fact that he continues to agitate the most ignorant among us, who supported him in the first place, by repeatedly lying about the way this government was set up to work, and practically urging them to demonstrate against the the Supreme Court - a branch of government with powers equal to his own.

I understand that the Hitler comparisons are unseemly and are considered low class and ignorant (unless done by any Democrat against any conservative), and I personally try to avoid such references, because it only gets you branded as a conspiracy nut. But the parallels are there, for anyone to see who has studied the history. I don't get the emails that so many people get that make these comparisons and a dozen others that are half-baked, at best. I have studied this history years ago, with no agenda, and looking for no evidence to prove anything. I am recognizing some of these behaviors and trying my best to write them off as coincidence, because it seems impossible that such a thing could happen here. But it is very disturbing.

I think it's worth mentioning, at least, that the people who have lived through such unbelievable events never believed it could happen to them, either.

My hope is that they wait until after the election to issue their decision so it does not influenece the vote at all.

They've said they will reveal their decision in June.

    Of this year.

You guys are burning a lot of pixels to paint a picture of this fellow. Everything that has been written about him in this thread can be broken down into a simple three-word descriptor:

    "DEMOCRAT FROM CHICAGO"

Maybe it's because I'm originally from Illinois that this is a little more ingrained for me, but seriously guys, is there anything more you need to know about the man than those three words?

Most folks out here in the hinterlands are not well-versed in the 'Chicago way' of committing daily political and legal atrocities, so that the local folks stay desensitized to it, and therefore simply ignore it. When news of some ridiculously blatant offense against freedom actually does reach us, we tend to think it is just another liberal/socialist trial balloon that can be 'walked back' to something that seems a little less outrageous to the mostly ignorant masses, but still accomplishes the original goal.

You have to remember that most normal folks hate politics and refuse to think about them for long enough to actually learn how things get done. Hell, the majority of folks don't even bargain for the best deal on a car or house, any more. If they won't spend an hour online to save themselves thousands of dollars, is it any surprise that they won't try to understand how the political machines work, that intend to transform their once-free country into another European style oligarchy?

Lot of truth in your comments, it is easier to put our heads in the sand like an ostrich than to notice reality knocking at our door. We must pay attention and then let others know what we have discovered to at least enlighten them on the subject, but after that if we do not make the right choices we have no excuses.

I have been trying to make this point for 3-1/2 years about Ovomit's evil intentions. It's NOT an accident or stupidity that we are still in this economic condition. Their purpose is to bring us crashing down economically and militarily, then rebuild the nation how they want it with no opposition from ANYONE.

I said he was Hitler before he was elected! I looked him up and everything I could find was either horrible or inconsitant as if his whole identity was made up. I said he was going to do this but nooooooooooo Quin's just a redneck racist!

What I think is truly sad is over half the population still doesn't see it and goes right along with everything he says as if it's the greatest thing ever.

That statement also could apply to Nazi Germany 1938 too!!!!!!!!!!!
