Unless you truly understand the 1911 platform, it will not be appreciated for what it really is, one of the most common, versatile and user adaptable and serviceable handgun ever made..... One of the few handguns you can build up from scratch, not to save money, but to get what you really want.
I do hate "Billboard ads" on My guns with a passion, I have two 1911s on hold now, awaiting parts, you can choose to buy the very best parts to complete your build, and no one but yourself will do the choosing of the features you feel you need or want.
Best yet, you can change features at will if you so desire, and upgrade to an unlimited amount of new stuff to as aftermarket accessories are limitless.
