Most of us here have had dealings with attorney's Lawyers etc. And most of us probably had a bad experience with them, maybe. This article caught my eye this morning and I thought it might be nice to share this.

The National Association of Law Professionals reported last week the overall employment rate for class of 2011 law school graduates was the worst since 1994, with 85.6 percent of the 41,623 graduates holding a job nine months after graduation

Supply and demand. When the supply exceeds the demand in the job market, folks are going to be unemployed in their chosen field.

You obviously haven't spent much time around the slimy underbelly of the legal profession- - - -criminal law. My brother swims in that cesspool all the time, and he's got a reputation as one of the straight arrows. The revolving-door criminal courts have a saying- - - -"Take low and go"- - - -which means the defense lawyer, who is usually appointed to represent an indigent defendant, negotiates the best plea bargain he can, and the scumbag heads back home to jail for awhile. My brother says the only lower form of life than a criminal defense lawyer is a prosecutor.

There must be 50 commercials on TV a day for lawyers who want your business for some issue regarding your health or as an accident victim.

I send patients to a couple of law firms when needed and while they are above board most of their peers, they say it is just stupid not to advertise this way, they get good cases by doing so, they do not like having to advertise, but it works.

I dunno about them being a thing of the past, more of a necessary evil I reckon depending on why you need an attorney.

From what I've been told, Florida's pretty bad about the lawyer commercials. I've had a few folks come visit and mention how many commercials we have on TV.

Like I have a choice in it...

The commercials are bad here also. I reckon a billboard I saw that was advertising a lawyers services for folks that drive into trees takes the cake though.
