Ruger p95 upper reciever

Quick question. On a ruger p95 which is a 9mm can you switch the upper reciever with the p944 (.40cal). They're the same p series pistol.
For example/explanation as to why I'm asking: I have a sig p229 .40 and the barrels for the .9m and upper reciever/barrel for the .22lr to switch with it. Can that be done with the ruger p series as well?

    Yes, welcome aboard!

I'm not sure either, but the P944 frame is investment cast aluminum vs. the polymer P95 frame; I'm thinking the swap could be inherently dangerous if you're not sure what you're doing...

Have you asked over at RugerForum? Like the name says it's Ruger exclusive, I'm fairly sure you could find an answer there...
I'm a Conservative. How conservative? Only Alex P. Keaton has me beat.

Ah. No. I'm new to the forums world lol so I hadn't thought of that! And you do make a very valid point that I hadn't considered about the frames.
