Well this what "I" can do... About 300 yards for a head shot. You? I know a bunch of people that reasonable to them is only 50 yards. Its all up to the shooter.

I'm surprised you don't have THAT on video. You seem to have everything else available for display.

Hey Dude, Ernie can do that with a pistol. 600 yards is just his warm up range.

I mean I've never seen him shoot other than in a video, but I have seen the evidence and heard others talk that have seen his shooting. You're in way over your head here.

I'm a fair shot for an old guy, but Ernie talks about 600 yards like I talk about 200.

That is impressive shooting. Head shots with a Ruger from the sitting position at 600+ yards.
What is your optic and how were you determining range?
How did you set-up on your sitting shots?

I wonder if that was an Angus or a Hereford he shot? Maybe a Charolais? He's definitely shooting the bull!

I'm gonna sit this one out and watch. This is getting interesting. It's nice not to be at the center of the discussion for once.....

Yes that one was a head shot with the 300.

My Ruger has a Weatherby 3x9 (the orig scope off the 240) and I purchased a somewhat cheap Simmons 4x12 to fit on the 240. Works out good for me.

Would you believe there used to be a fella that frequented this place that could make hits at those distances using his toe?

He was a pretty cool dude, often volunteering himself to be subjected to weird firearms experiments like attempting to set his shirt on fire.
