The shop owners son got this 1982 Mustang @ scrap metal prices....

The previous owner had tried to work on it and ruined the ignition lock among other things, however, it has mostly cosmetic problems.\

No rust, good frame, engine, transmission etc.... it is lots of work...

Should be a lot you can do with that. There are more aftermarket parts for Fox body Mustangs than you can shake a stick at.

I've got a friend with a slightly newer 1983 that he's been working on over the course of many years. He adds a part here, a part there, but the overall car has been up and running for quite some time. As jbp already said, you can't possibly run out of options for that thing.

It is a fighter jet of a Mustang, so far all it needs is cosmetics and minor engine work..... I repaired the mangled ignition lock removing the mangled original without harming the column, an exacting chore, installed the new cylinder and all works well, also repaired the ignition system...

Rims would be the first thing I would ditch.... Those things are horrid.

This car is not stock, it has an Edelbrock carburetor, badly installed.... IIRC, OEM, it was a throttle body injection system.

'82 still had a regular carb right?
1982 was the intro of the 5.0 H.O. motor. Which had a 2-bbl.

1984 was the intro of the fuel-injected 5.0.
    Meh.

Not bad, for a 80s Ford product. :jester:
