Trijicon ACOG 4x32 test

Just watched a cool test on G&A TV on the Trijicon ACOG 4x32. Host said he picked up one for $275.........anyone out there know what model it was and where in the world he picked one up for only $275.

Welcome! Not sure what he was talking about, because he is about a grand off for an Acog. (best price I have seen is 800ish, but normal price is 12-13 hundred)

Now Trijicon does make a reflex that is closer to the price you mentioned....

This is just a guess but having worked where we did reviews/evals on items, sometimes to keep from being accused of giving favorable reviews because we were given items, some manufacturers insisted we pay a percentage or pay their lost profit on an item they didn't want back. That was a cheap commercial for Trijicon. The host got to keep it and the device was punished harder than anybody would under normal conditions and proven tough. Everybody won.

If from the manufacturer, they are usually free. From a distributor, you usually get them for a percentage of retailer cost which is usually distributor cost.

In any event, they lost ALL credibility by not realizing and stating what the market price on these things were. I'll be sure to keep this in mind when I watch any of their reviews and take everything with a grain of salt. Apparently they work outside the world of reality.

I saw that video and was under the impression that he bought the ACOG used. Still should have mentioned the retail price in the video though.

I saw that episode and it was stated that it was used. They made a big deal about it being way below what it is worth
