Youngest daughter attempted to throw the blame on someone else in the car last weekend, alternating between me and when that failed, the dog. I was so proud, came up with that tactic all on her own.
You've taught her well.

Gun control laws make about as much sense as taking ex-lax to cure a cough.
Well we made it through the first night. Springfield stayed in a laundry basket on the floor on my side of the bed. He woke up 4 times to go outside. He has had a few accidents inside, but fortunately at 6 weeks old, they were very minor. Working on getting him used to going outside now. Hopefully he will have it down lat in a few weeks.
Each time he successfully relieves himself outside, give him a little treat -- a small piece of doggy bone/biscuit, etc -- while (gently) negatively reinforcing accidents inside the house. Dogs are food/reward oriented; he'll catch on soon enough.
Keep him in a crate and take him out to the potty spot EVERY time he comes out of the box, he will train a lot faster. Make the potty spot the same and take the paper towels that you use to clean up the mistakes and put them in at the potty spot. Once they get used to smelling the poop at the same place, they will make that the go to poo spot.
It's boring, and your lack of creativity knows no bounds.

That's one problem I'm facing. Haven't been able to find a treat he likes yet. Try giving him a piece of his food or a treat by hand, he turns his nose. Never seen anything like it before.
Unless life also hands you water and sugar, your lemonade is gonna suck!
Here are a few recent pics. The little fur ball is starting to come out of his shell. He finally started to chew on a chew stick a little. He hasn't gotten the hang of holding it with his paws to chew it yet. I have to help him out by putting his paws around it for him. Kimber loves him to death. When you ask her what her puppies name is, she says "Kimbers puppy, he's mine".
The potty training is going good, he will start to whine when he needs to go out, and as soon as you set him down in the grass he handles his business. Very few accidents in the house.

+1 for the crate on an inside dog. Looks a lot like the new fur ball at our house. She is a little further along. Plan on taking her for walk up in the woods on Wednesday looking for some doves to shoot at. A picture from a month or two back.

I will fear no evil: For I carry a .308 and not a .270
