Stevens Walnut Hill

Picked up one of these, .22 LR target rifle from about 1930 at the latest. I sure didn't need it, but just had to have it. It's in very good shape for a 80 year old rifle and the bore is perfect. Sorry I can't figure out how to photograph the entire rifle. It's got a heavy barrel and a Lyman sight and hooded front sight, with about a 26" barrel, maybe a bit more. Anyone with any info on this rifle, I'd like to hear it.

Concealed carry is for protection, open carry is for attention.

If it is a 417 Target it should have a Lyman 17A front and Lyman 48L rear sight. Should be tapped on top for scope blocks too.
Does the full cock act as a safety? Is it J.Stevens Arms & Tool? Sounds like they were made 1932 to 1940, excellent and valuable find, congratulations!
It's got the target sights and has scope blocks on the barrel for a target scope, like an Unertl. Makes me wish I had my Unertl scope back. I can't wait to try it out.

Crop out most of what is not gun, the save.
From what I can find........it may be worth 2 or 3 Unertl's.
