Define irony....................

Irony is the Green party taking our current Govt to task for the lack of employment opportunities and the lack of small businesses manufacturing goods for export.

This follows the Green party having a major say in our country for 9 years when they formed a coalition with the 'socialists' and never did anything about the NZ$ being so high which caused a lot of small manufactering exporters to go to the wall...............

Not to mention the hurdles and hoops they put primary industries through by imposing their green policies.

I can see the same thing happening in your neck of the woods at the moment.
Still enjoying the trip of a lifetime and making the best of what I have.....

There is a lot of us here too, that see that, or at the least see it comming.
    Irony according to one source:
The psychologist Martin, in The psychology of humour, is quite clear that irony is where “the literal meaning is opposite to the intended”; and sarcasm is “aggressive humor that pokes fun”.[12] He has the following examples: For irony he uses the statement "What a nice day" when it is raining. For sarcasm, he cites Winston Churchill who, when told by a lady that he was drunk, said "my dear, you are ugly ... but tomorrow I shall be sober", as being sarcastic, while not saying the opposite of what is intended

Let us not confuse irony with the synonym for incongruous:
The American Heritage Dictionary's secondary meaning for irony: "incongruity between what might be expected and what actually occurs
Incongruity is when things don’t match as they are expected to. (noun)
An example of an incongruity is a wealthy woman who drives an old beaten up car.

Either way this describes the last 4yrs of the Odummy Administration to a Tee, as far as I am concerned!!!!!!!!!!!! I might add here and old saying I picked up years ago: " The triumph of reality over expectations." MY MY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Woods? What are these woods of which you speak? I am sorry to inform you that due to the environmentalist movement in this country, the only woods we have here are reserved for bears and then only for certain purposes for said bears.

Now, if we only had some bears...

Irony is the left handed wingnuts in government taxing and regulating businesses to the point that they go offshore to a more favorable business climate, and the same mouth breathing, drooling on their shirts, left handed wingnuts in the government moaning about the lack of jobs in the country.
I may be a Deplorable, but at least I'm not a Liberal!!!
