Avenging the flowering crab

Ranch13Ranch13 Posts: 820 Senior Member
Dere mr little buck deer,
When you and your friend trashed her flowering crab, she promised not to do anything untword or illegal. This evening she saw where you had rubbed your horns and ate the tips of the branches on the spruce trees that she had been nursing along since the grass hoppers almost killed them. And I think that was the final straw, so when she saw you and your friends sauntering across the pasture towards her yard again there was little that could save you. The rifle was available she had a license , the season is still open and it was still legal light. So now you are destined to become butterfly steaks and roast....

About 300 yds south of the yard fence, supper was ready to set on the table.:tooth:

My wife's the same way, though ain't no way she'd attempt a 300 yard shot or even be able to see a deer in these woods @ that distance.

I give yours a tip of my hat, nice shootin' ma'am :worthy:

I'm curious too. A 300yd shot is challenging. With any lever gun but a BLR helps. So please, do tell.

She was getting pretty buck fevered by the time he presented a broadside. Had to watch them coming from over 500 yds, and the light was fading, and then it seemed like an hour with him standing stock still perfectly broadside while we waited for the does to get clear.
Yeh she's been cussing the little **** and his buds for along time now.
She also competes with me in the bpcr competitions so long range shooting and follow thru comes to her easily, and she has absolutely loved that BLR for the last 20 years and it has treated her well.

Chiro it's a 308 , shooting 165 gr hornady bt's pushed by a max charge of 748 in remington cases and cci primers. It'll clover leaf 3 at 100 off the bench, and that bullet has severed us well on antelope, deer and elk.

A friend of ours has one , she doesn't reload, but she always shoots the Remington premium ammo with good results.

We had a problem with deer and rabbits eating the leaves, twigs and bark on our young apple trees, until I hung a bar of Irish Spring soap from each one. The Irish Spring has a strong odor, that offends their senses, and the critters won't come near it.......Robin
