Ronadl Reagan's pistol ???

PetelPetel New MemberPosts: 2 New Member
I note in a book about the life of former President Ronald Reagan, that he is said to have carried a pistol, on a regular basis, before, during and after said Presidency.

The mention of the pistol comes only in the foot notes of the book, which states that this was a 1934 Walther PPK in .380auto.

Can anyone please offer any positive confirmation, that the pistol was a PPK?

Many thanks, Pete.

Please accept my apologies for the typo in the main title. Finger trouble on my part, no disrespect intended.

I have never heard of that. It sounds pretty interesting though. I would love to hear about it if you find more information.

I've heard stories that Pres. Reagan sometimes carried a handgun during his presidency in a briefcase but can't find anything about a PPK.
Here's a link to a Tom Gresham radio show about Reagan using a 1911 to help out a woman who was being robbed on the street. This was when he was a sportscaster in Des Moines in the 1930s. It's not a "live" link so you'll have to cut and paste.
