Not familiar with that area, Jerm, but I have been to Duluth and the north shore of Lake Superior up to Grand Marais once. There's something about that country that I'm totally awed about! I loved it instinctively! I'm as serious as a heart attack in saying this....If I could establish a summer home type place close to Duluth, or up toward the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, I'd trade an equal value spot down on the Gulf Coast close to Panama City in a heart beat!

If you drive up I94 you will be going past me, Minnesota shooter is up here depending on his work schedule, there is a new member in MN around these parts but his name escapes me, Bellcat might be close.

This place is basically in the middle of nowhere. Winnipeg is the nearest large city. The quickest route is up through the UP and over.

Hmm, still doable for me, not so much Minnesotashooter, but, if there was fishing involved, there might be some takers, IM me some dates and locales.

I will let you know what happens. It is a big favor for my biggest client. It might be one of those drive 17 hours, crash out for a bit, knock out the job, and drive back home things-- actually, it probably will be.

Quite an interesting area to hunt. A couple of years ago, I got to hunt the Standing Rock reservation. I drew a two deer tag, (one white tail buck, and one doe), and phesants. Of course, I saw more mule deer than white tail. I had a 300 pound mulie come out and breed a doe not 50 yards from me, in plain view. He didn't act like he even saw me. Anyhow, my largest buck came from that hunt, a 255 pound eight point. The first thing I noticed is that there aren't any trees, except in the drainages or on the riverbanks......Robin
