That's terrific. I'm glad they pay credit to Myyyyronnnn Coooope! who was the amazing broadcaster for the Steelers during their glory years (Bradshaw & co). He "invented" the Terrible Towel and also invented the term "Steel Curtain".

Fans in Pittsburgh (or "Pighsburk" as some pronounced it) loved hearing Cope's broadcasts. He always had funny comments and was one of the greatest color announcers I've ever heard.

A note about the last Steelers' game... there was a solid rain most of the game, but the field remained very playable. This is a credit to the original 3 Rivers design and its upkeep over the years. There are plenty of open-roof stadiums in the NFL that have terrible groundskeeping, despite the money incoming.

Being a fan sitting in the cold rain or snow isn't fun (even though, as a KC Chiefs and later Steelers' fan, I attended plenty of those games). But despite the rain, you should have a well-drained field for the players, otherwise the game is too sloppy and injury-prone. Good drainage for the Steelers stadium shows how much the owners care about the overall team and fans.

I gotta admit that it's nicer in a domed stadium. Call me spoiled.

No, I don't think Myron Cope was a drama queen. His game commentary was always entertaining, and although he was pro-Steelers, he wasn't a "homer" in that he ignored bad play from them. Many fans in the stadium would have their transistor radios tuned to the broadcast so they could listen to Cope during the game.

I'll admit that some color commentators are drama queens, but not Cope. He was one of the best ever.

I don't know why the "troll" posting, however. Could you use English words to tell why? Thanks.
