Got me a new truck

Had to let go of a big part of my life. Something about growing up, having a family, wanting to expand the family...
Here is what I had uploadfromtaptalk1351721099743.jpg
That was sold on Sunday, and on Monday I bought this:uploadfromtaptalk1351721241629.jpg
Sorry for the crappy pic, as I came down with strep the same night. The truck is a 2012 crew cab ( the full four door) in true blue. She has the Hemi, and is 2wd. So far I have drove it home, and to the doctors office. I like it, I miss the Jeep, but this is the first practical vehicle I have bought in my life. So far my rolling average MPG is 18.5 which is up big from my 13 of the Jeep. Enjoying it so far.

Unless life also hands you water and sugar, your lemonade is gonna suck!

I'm feeling you.....that's why I picked up a used Grand Cherokee.....4 doors are much easier with kids and groceries.....just sayin'.
Well, with that nice roomy back seat...
Hemi would be a cool first name.
Sweet looking Ram! Too bad you had to wave goodbye to the Jeep, I know I miss mine, I sold it almost 2 years ago to a buddy of mine but at least I still get to drive it around the ranch during hunting season. I bought my dodge Ram about 6 months ago, a 2010 2500 Laramie with the 6.7 diesel. I am very happy with my Ram and I'm sure you will like yours too.

And that's the thing right there......anyone who has or buys a Jeep Wrangler is looking for one thing......a 4wd HORSE...and women love horses...especially little girls.......rough ride, wind in your hair.....with cup-holders........They'll plow through your annoying neighbor's shrubbery fence. They are a statement, they are a way of life....They are the hot girlfriend you have to let go when you come to grips with life with your wife.
Excuse me, Ive become veclemp....talkst amognst yourselves! :tooth:
Oh yes it did say rubiKONG
Absolutely no room at my house for a harley. But I do have one of these uploadfromtaptalk1351734562724.jpg
We got a Colt, a Kimber, and now even a little Springfield. Hemi is nice, it just doesn't fit...
We had one of those then out grew it so we got this. 2500 megacab 6.7L diesel
Yea with three growing boys lots of hunting and fishing trips we needed the extra room.
I absolutely love the truck 75mph down the highway and 18mpg. Hook the boat up no change on mpg's hook the horse trailer up it goes down about 3-4mpgs. Fold the back seat down put an air mattress down and it's like a full size bed. Love it.
Make sure it is silver, silver Toyotas seem to be mandatory in CO:jester:.
The bed is very short, the wheel wells almost begin at the front of it. 5.7 feet I believe.
No sure of payload, or tongue weight, but it's rated to pull a hair over 10k. Gotta read up on that other stuff :tooth:
I could see that with yours all jacked up. I'm hoping my stock one will be fine when the one on the way is here.

That would have to be one ugly kid to warrant that!
My stock height rubicon with a hard top was perfect. It sounds ghetto, but I would load the kid up from the rear of the Jeep while she was rear facing. It was actually easier than any vehicle I've ever put her in. And the rear glass from the hard top acted like a roof when it was raining. Kimber loved it back there too, there were plenty of windows her her to look out of.
Someone on a Jeep forum mentioned that. Much easier than dealing with the fold and tumble front seat. That's the plan. Of course I will probably have my soft top on in June. I just put the hardtop back on last weekend.

What is it? And do I sense a strong anti-Harley sentiment at your house? And how is it that you also abandoned four wheel drive when you sold your Jeep? I'm surprised you did both.
Later...
I can only speak for myself. But I greatly prefer torque. And for real torque you need a diesel. Bikes are all well and good, and jeeps are cool if you're sixteen. But for me? Nothing gets me going like the sound of a diesel.
