Last range trip for me!
Before hunting season that is. Going out tomorrow for a last sight check on my hunting playtoys, no more fun and games with paper after tomorrow, starting next week all targets will have fur!
The lineup for this season....
1. DPMS LR308 topped with a Burris Eliminator using 165 grain SST's
2. FN PBR .308 topped with a Leupold VXII 4.5-14 using 125 grain Sierra Spitzers
3. Remington 700 custom .308 topped with Leupold VXIII LR 6.5-20
4. Alexander Arms 6.5 Grendel topped with Leupold Mark IV 6.5-20
Oldies
1. 1948 Enfield MK4 #2 303 British
2. 1943 K98 sniper 8mm
3. 1942 91/30 Nagant sniper 7.62x54
4. Springfield trapdoor carbine 45/70
Probably the LR308 and the FN PBR will be the first week along with the Enfield. I'm itching to try the enfiled and the LR308 on some pigs, no blood on these rifles yet. All the rest are seasoned hunters and have taken a lot of game.
Leaving Tuesday for 6 days in the woods roughing it like the old days of the mountain man... Well not so much but there will be limited internet access and no cable TV so that's kinda roughing it!

The big bad wulf has done well when asked and is still one of my favorites. I may decide later in the season to give it some woods time. I chose a few that are new to me or have not made it out in a couple of years, I have to give all the kids a chance to play.
