I guess the peanut gallery won't harass a woman shooting a 270...

And no, CaliFFL, we won't harass her. We might use this thread as proof of its suitability for other people, but we won't harass christie.

This was a planned moose hunting trip to the moose capital of Canada, Hudson Bay(city) in Saskatchewan.
I drove up #9 North after work on Thursday. I had only purchased my license with moose tag but after a call to my relatives to check on the motel room number, they convinced me to purchase a deer tag also. I thank God that I did!
At McBride Lake I drove by a cow moose and that was still 60 kms south of this moose capital famous place. In two full days of hunting we didn't see one moose1
However, the deer were plentiful and there was some very handsome bucks I was eager to take.
This motel was primed for hunters, in fact, both morning breakfasts and in the parking lot we only saw other hunters. This place had a cooling shed and a skinning pole out back-a real confidence booster, I just knew we would be successful.
We thought we would go directly in the bush with the valuable tip from experienced moose hunters. After several hours of following days-old moose tracks and breaking in a new side-by-side we decided to drop the trailer and side-by-side back at the motel and go glassing up and down
All 'yall take another look at the photo. Look into this Young Lady's face and eyes....CONFIDENCE! She will do whatever she wants to in life successfully!
Christie, two great choices in my opinion, a Vangard in .270. I have a .270 but it's not a Vangard. I also have a Vangard action (Well actually, it's a Howa) but it's not a .270. I bought a Howa 1500 in a pawn shop and used it for a loner action for the .250 Savage project, the same action they use on the Vangard. It is one of the smoothest, most accurate actions I have in my safe.
Basically, because I couldn't find my magazine in the most important time I needed it I used the .270 that was loaded when my buck was first spotted. And that's the rifle I took my first deer with. So my .303 still hasn't harvested meat yet.:bang:
Who spilled that flour all over the ground?

A .303? now you really have our attention, do tell. Your pic posted just fine.
I look forward to seeing more hunting reports from you in the future, esp when you get a chance to 'blood' the 303.
Gun control laws make about as much sense as taking ex-lax to cure a cough.
