Another forum I used to frequent started a thread like this that is now over 7600 posts long. Let's see if it works here or dies a quick but painful death.

Just post whatever is on your mind that doesn't require a dedicated thread. The idea is simple. Just post your random thoughts. I'll start...




I talk to some folks who have retired or speak of retirement plans who tell me they have to work or they will go nuts or be too bored. I think I’d rather be bored at the range or on the lake every day.

Why does it cost $7.00 to $9.00 to buy a whole chicken to take home and cook on my little rotisserie but only costs $6.00 for an "already cooked" rotisserie chicken from the same supermarket?

Funny how a once in 72 year occurance (snow where I live) has me moaning about having to dress real warm to go out to work.............but if someone rang me and said "Can you come up and deal to the 500 ducks on my pasture" during the same once in 72 year event, I would be running around like a kid in a candy store getting my guns ammo etc out............

My oldest stepson got an 'Oscar' (tropical fish) three years ago. He had a 10 gallon tank in his room. Fishy soon outgrew it and went into my 29gallon. It outgrew that one, so his aunt gave him a 55 gallon tank.

'Oscar' is now 15'' long, about 3 1/2'' thick, and probably well over 2#'s....... Wonder how he would taste???

If a police sniper is forced to shoot a felon in the line of duty, while looking through a 10x magnification scope, can he claim that he is ten times as traumatized, thereby requiring 30 days off?
