Shot Another Hog This Morning
Went out to my friends looking for another hog. Saw one across a ravine running away but didn't get a shot at it. Then we drove on down in the bottom by the barge canal and went and parked where I shot the last one. None came and the Mosquitos were bad so we were leaving and Carrie spotted one about two hundred yards up the road. She was driving her husband's gasoline golf cart and we crept up to within a hundred yards or so. I rested the 30-06 on the windshield and shot it in the back. I could barely see it, but I got a hit in the spine from the rump. Surprisingly the bullet didn't hit any guts and hit the spine and desentigrated along the back bone. I was shooting my Remington SPS 30-06 with a 200 grain Sierra Game King. It killed the hog on contact. Another Bang Flopper.

I was really happy with the performance of the 200 grain game king. Now to blood more rifles.

This pig was about the same size as the last one but seemed much healthier. Had a lot more meat on the hams and front legs.
