I put 100 rounds of Speer Lawman ammo through the new Ruger LCP & yes my hand was sore! This particular target was 15 feet away or so . The head shots were with 2 hands the chest with one . First few shots I thought it was going to pop out of my hand but quickly figured out how to keep a hold on it & do decent follow up shots . I saw some rubber grip sleeves online , maybe that would help ? I noticed I was shooting a little to the right with this gun , I don't with any others . I hadn't been shooting for awhile & this is the smallest thing I have ever shot so I was expecting to do much worse .
I did the nail polish on the front sight trick Al suggested - turns out we had glow in the dark so now it has night sights ooooh ! This thing operated just right & is as easy to carry as a wallet & keys so I am more than happy with it but I am still going for the SKS when the Zombies come .
LCP range report with a zombie

Jermanator : You might talk about Tauruses around your wife, but that just doesn't fly in my house.

Seems like you like it, the initial grip issue you had kept me from buying one of those smaller
pistols. You seem to have compensated well.
I have big hands & the small grip was what was detering me in the first place . Turns out I had not much to fear . I think I am going to order a grip sleeve anyway though .
Sorry Doctor : The Ruger LCP it is a very small polymer framed semi auto pistol chambered in .380 & has a 6 round magazine . The trigger is very long & stiff but after a few shots got used to that too . The sights are close to non existant which makes sense for concealment & drawing . I am glad I used the nail polish !
I have been carrying it in an Uncle Mike's pocket holster which holds it fine & does not slip out but sometimes it does not keep the pistol upright - starts to go sideways . It does not have that extra material along the side I see on others . It probably works great in jeans or back pockets .
you ought to remember, that Zombie once had a Mummy & a Deady !!!!
You're right Doc. I showed a distinct zombiesque attitude in my post. Very insensitive of me. After all zombies have feelings too. Wait, let me rephrase that. Zombies have rights too. Unless the rights fell off while shambling along.
I blame my insensitivity to lack of nourishment. I'm craving some sauteed cerveaux. Do you think a side dish of fava beans would be proper?
Don't quote the SPAM!!!!
I swapped off my Kahr PM-9 for that reason, and wish I hadn't. Like you, I learned how to make the adjustment, when I got the LCP. I rarely ever carry mine, any more, because I have also made the adjustment to carrying something better, IWB. But it's a fairly cool little gizmo that beats the heck out of carrying nothing, when those rare occasions pop up that you can't carry something better. I even added a CT Laser to mine, and it helps if you want to shoot a little further out.
Don't feel bad, neither did I, in fact I do not know the difference anyway......
And they are from Berrundi or some such place....
Maybe the solution is to teach zombies to eat Spammers.
