MN Man Beaten By Police For Carrying His Licensed Gun

NomadacNomadac Posts: 902 Senior Member
Zachery King claims that he was beaten and arrested by five police officers after they noticed he was carrying a gun. King swears that he told the cops he had a permit to carry a concealed weapon, and that only made things worse.

It appears the Police may have exercised some bad judgement, what say you?

This can only end badly for the police officers, and rightly so.

Nevermind the whole future backlash of another black man named King getting beat by police...

He had a permit, he told the officers this, and was still assaulted.

If there is any justice, these cops will be first in line at the unemployment office Monday morning...

Goodbye, pension! Let's hope he gets to pay his bills with a whole bunch of their money for a long time to come! Of course it would be better if they got charged with aggravated assault, convicted, and jailed, but that's wishful thinking.

See, it's not just whites that are the victim of this abuse. Any lawful gun owner is subject to this insanity. The cops in some cities are antis. Down south not so much so. Most local cops around here are gun people and respect the second amendment. Not all, of course, theres a few whackos everywhere. But the majority are pro gun around here.

Well, if his story is as he presents it...:fan:

If things went down as it sounds the cops should not only lose their jobs (permanently) but prosecutions are in order.

Minneapolis police seem to have a reoccurring problem in this area, rest of the state, not so much.

As usual, I'm not jumping to any conclusions based on some silly reporter's attempt to grab his/her 15 minutes of fame. If it happened just that way, they should be in some very deep doo-doo.

Here in MT as well. I just got back from CO and was driving the U-Haul. After 12 or so hours in that 24' beast I forgot to adjust my shirt when I hopped out at the truck stop near my house. A rather nice State Trooper behind me in line said "Ahem.. your shirt" and pointed to my now exposed CCW. I've seen enough storys to know I could have gotten in some major trouble or even shot by an over zealous cop but lucky for me this was one of the good ones.

As for the story in the OP I'm getting tired of seeing these. The good cops need to be policing their buddys.
