Guns in the news - Shooting in San Antonio

This happened Tuesday outside Cowboys dance hall. So far the reports seem to point to a legal shoot with a guy defending himself against 4 attackers; we'll see how it pans out. You can tell he studied in his CHL class by the way he gives his story to the police.

Referencing the video link, Texas registers guns? i mean in the sense of like California/Chicago registration? Surely not?

No there is no gun registration in Texas ans I doubt will ever be. I don't know where that came from

If the shooter was armed inside the club, and/or was drinking, he's got problems.

The gun was in his truck out in the parking lot according to the story which is legal. Cops say no charges filed on the shooter but assault charges are being brought against the attackers.

Same here but they said in the video that the gun was not "registered" to the guy.

I know I was totally supprised the media added some totally useles hype to make the story sound a little more intruiging; they have never done that before.

The 3 people that were shot weren't the brightest guys I've ever heard of...."I then grabbed the gun and turned around and shot the guy trying to pull me out of my truck. Then another guy ran up so I shot him, and then another guy ran up and I shot him."
Running towards the victim doesn't sound too smart to me. "Hey, Jose just got shot by that guy! Let's run over there and try to keep beating on him!" You would think at least that Ventilated Perp #2 would stop after seeing 2 of his buddies go down, but nooooo......

"Authorities say 28-year-old Jose A. Jaquez died in the parking lot. The other two men were taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center; one in critical condition, the other in serious condition."

There is no need to elaborate further.
