How often do you fully, and I mean FULLY, clean your carry gun?

By FULLY I mean taking it down as far as possible, a complete detail strip?
I try and do that to my 1911 at least once a year. Clean and relube, inspect the parts, make sure there's no grit or grime inside that'll cause an embarassing "click."
Or am I overcautious?

Never driven a pin out of my Kahr or XD
That. I figure with a carry gun, if it went "bang" the last time I pulled the trigger, taking it apart and reassembling it can only make the percentages go downhill.

It's kind of embarrassing to pull the trigger at the range and have a cloud of dust erupt...
As long as it goes off..you're good...
Beyond the very occasional field strip for cleaning and dusting...I don't////
Use smokey ammo, no one will know.
I detail stripped my 34 after Paul and I played in the gunk. I detail stripped my 26 after playing in the gunky mud in the bottom of a fish pond. I also detail my polymer framed guns after I do any grinding on them, the little polymer dust particles get EVERYWHERE!
Under normal conditions however, I doubt that I'd ever do it.

That's my S.O.P.
I never remove trigger components, etc, unless I'm planning to make a modification.
