Obligatory pics are here now-Not the greatest, but it gives you a decent idea of the SP.
This is Freedom Arm's Single-Shot Pistol chambered in 6.5 Swede Ackley Improved.
Have some 142 SMK's/H-4350/Lapua Brass/Fed 210M ready to go for fireforming.
Scope is the Sightron S-II Big Sky 6.5-20 (1" tube) with MOA Reticle.
Will be using either 123 or 140 A-Max's (likely the 140's) for lopes or maybe for an unsuspecting mule deer.

I can't find ammo for that at Walmart.

When I sent the barrel to Holland's to have him put on a brake, I should have noted I wanted one that follows the lines of the barrel more.
So it looks a little ugly with the size of the brake (to me), but it will be very effective in recoil reduction.

Well, you know I am recoil sensitive and I figure I might be able to reach out all of the way to 250 yards.:silly:

    Nice, Ernie!

Just out of curiosity, what powders are your considering?

I think you need a bigger scope.

He needs one of those Leupolds they were pushing 4-5 years back....you know, the weird looking ones that followed the radius of the barrel diameter? Looked like your barrel had melted your scope......

You need to stop posting pictures of these pistols, man. You are starting to give me an itch I'll need to scratch...

I think I will get a Mac brake put on it that matches the contour of the barrel

Look at you! Cratering to popular opinion! Ha!

    So easily swayed.

Hey Ernie, I think you'd look better in bell-bottom jeans.

The lack of clean lines has bothered me some for awhile now.

Honestly, I think a smaller brake WOULD help the looks department. Right now, it looks like a science project.

Back in the day I did wear Bell-Bottom Jeans, and I did look good.
Of course, a large majority of guys did too where I lived at that time.

You confused me with my older brother. He was the trapper in the family. I was the shooter of the two.
All I could do was drive shingle nails from the sitting position with an old 22lr single-shot that had Iron Sights!

I was referring more to your age, than personality. ;-)

    Thanks!
For all practical purposes, I doubt if I am going to make a change this close to the season. I do know the Holland will be more effective than a a smaller brake, because of the greater surface area, not to mention brake design.
