Actually I agree, at least to me. I'd have tried to trade for a Smith and Wesson J-frame, personally, because they'd hold value better than the Taurus, and slightly better than the Ruger.

OK, maybe hate was too strong wording, although I do sense a bit of trepidation when the Taurus brand is mentioned here...
Anyhow, I'm happy. And I didn't trade $400 worth for a $200 trade credit. My P95 is a 10 Year old, non railed model. The LGS sells NIB railed P95's for $319. I got a little less than half of that for my old Ruger, and I got about half of what cheap kit BP rifles sell for, which is what I expected...
Might be awhile for a range report, between me working nights and not currently being a member of the local range...

FWIW, the few taurus revolvers I have had experience with were all fine guns. The only difference was that the fit and finish were not as good as S&W.

I'll second that. I currently own four Taurus revolvers and they all work just fine. If they didn't, they'd be gone. The fit and finish of my Taurus 94, 22 cal. revolver doesn't come close to the Colt Diamondback 22 revolver that I have, but the price point of the two revolvers is substantially different as well. In fact, I had an "April Fools Day" post on this forum about trading the Taurus for the Diamondback last spring!
My S&W and Ruger revolvers are also much nicer than the Taurus guns. They all reside in the same gun vault.
Funny thing is, why would I want to pay more for a bad copy of a S&W, when I can buy a S&W for the same money ???? even a well worn S&W revolver is better than a Taurus revolver...... Again, the issues are with their revolvers, not their Beretta clones.....

Funny thing is, why would I want to pay more for a bad copy of a S&W, when I can buy a S&W for the same money ???? even a well worn S&W revolver is better than a Taurus revolver...... Again, the issues are with their revolvers, not their Beretta clones.....

some sell the same item for as high a price as they can.
Some have few employees some have many employees and they sell for more.
