    They are forest grouse. They are VERY edible, like a big quail or small pheasant. It is not hard to hunt them, unless you consider walking difficult. :jester:

    No dogs, I just find overgrown logging roads (see the photo) and walk them with my 12 year-old daughter. When the birds flush, lead them appropriately.
