He wasn't backing down

This guy decided that I wasn't gonna walk in his direction. Stomping and huffing was all I needed to decide that there weren't any grouse in that direction.

When our governing officials dismiss due process as mere semantics, when they exercise powers they don’t have and ignore duties they actually bear, and when we let them get away with it, we have ceased to be our own rulers.

Nope. Probably not for hundreds of miles.

Not much will make me crap my pants quicker than to all of a sudden spot a BiG full grown Bull Moose. The one time it's happened to me made me a believer. That was in Alaska out of Anchorage.

I am way more concerned about bumping into that on my way to the deer stand in the dark than I am a wolf or 3.

    Awesome animals. Great pic. Thanks!
I don't know what it is, but I'd rather hunt moose 10:1 over bears.

Had two similar experiences while living in Colorado. Once with a bull who stood in the middle of a road to a camp spot and blocked me for 20 or so min before wandering off. And once with a cow and calf. That one was scary as we were on foot and she was not in the mood to be triffled with.

Yeah, the cows sound even more scary from the outside looking in. I've never seen one in the flesh, but my roomate in Officer Training School was a survival instructor and had a scary run-in with a cow and her calf. Apparently, it involved him dancing around a tree as she tried her best to hoof-pummel him.
