  In that next to last shot, must have been shot with a .17-.50 BMG at really close range. Blew the hide right off the skull! :tooth:

  They are nice mounts. Where were these pics taken? And don't say "in front of the mounts" or I'll fly over there to kick you.

  We had the TAKH ( Take A Kid Hunting) day in the forest on saturday and these are some of the heads that our committee members bought along to add 'atmosphere' to the hall.
  
  And yes, we do have Whitetail over here. There is a herd on Stewart island that is available for hunting........
  
  Dont forget to bring the wife and kids over with you. They can keep each other amused whil you and I do 'blokey' things like hunting drinking chasing wimmen etc..........

  The second picture is a chamois,its coat is a fawn colour in summer and is dark grey to black with bright yellow on the side of the face and throat in the winter months.In 1907 eight chamois were liberated in the Hooker valley ,South Island.Since then they have spread along the southern alps.They were originaly form Austria.There is no hunting limit on the numbers you can shoot and can be hunted any time of the year.Most hunters shoot for a trophy,then one for camp meat.Our Dept of Conservation class them as a pest to be shot on site!

  If you hunted during the roar and knew people you could probably do it in a couple or 3 weeks if you worked at it full time..........Better allow a month Luis so you can stop, drink some coffee, do some shopping, go fishing for Marlin......
