Winchester 32-20

I recall reading a thread on here a while ago about someone buying a Winchester 32-20 rifle...............I think it was Jayhawker but my memory aint what it used to be. So anyway the Tikka 7mm08.....(oops, told you what my memory was like)
Where was I.............
Winchester 32-20 Lever action.........yeah thats where I was............So I head down the road to an arms fair and see on one of the racks a 1903 Winchester 32-20 Lever action in what I would call 'good' condition for its age. Price is $550NZD or $456USD...................
Now I dont need a new (to me) rifle and I dont want a new (to me) rifle and I certainly cant afford a new (to me ) rifle, and I am in the position of possibly selling some of mine to buy some other luxury items like bread, milk, coffee, electricity etc etc ..............................but ...........................it certainly looked like it would be a good buy to start with seeing as I dont have a lever action in my cabinet.............:tooth:.
Is that a good price........? ( not that I may go back and see what his bottom dollar is..........)
Just wondering...............

The model 1903 is a semi automatic .22....
If it's a '92, it's worth considerably more than $456, in good condition.
This............
excel v.g. good fair poor
$5000. 3500. 1250. 700. 350.
If its a carbine its worth a little less, the fancy sporting rifle and trappers carbine much more, the fancy had a pistol grip stock and checkering
hope this helps JAY
Interesting and thanks for the info. I would have taken a couple of pics but they had a rule that no pics be taken in the hall.............
Did you ever see the American Movie, Animal House with John Belushi, Tim Matheson, and Steven Furst (Flounder) to name a few? There's one scene where one of their fraternity brothers named Pinto (Tom Hulce) is with a young 13 year old girl (That looks 18) that passed out from too much to drink, and he's debating with himself on whether to have his way with her while she's out. There's a devil sitting on one of his shoulders and an angel on his other and the angel is telling him that he needs to do the right thing and take her home to her parents, while the Devil is telling him to go ahead and have his way with her. Well, I'm (as The Devil) on one shoulder and your conscience (an Angel) on the other, but I'm saying, Hell with it dude, Buy it, buy it. You can do it!!! Just think how much fun it will be!!! While your conscience is on the other shoulder telling you "No No, you can't afford it, don't do it! You'll be sorry!!!" And I'm saying "Aw, don't listen to him, he's a kill joy, go for the gold man, buy it buy it buy it!!!

Reuters, Dec 2020.
and just for the record, I'm looking for a Colt Bisley Model (or clone) in .32-20 that is affordable....but I wouldn't turn down a Winchester lever gun in the same chambering...both would be better,,,
