New one-piece scope mounts on my Marlin .22s/range report

I rained all day yesterday, and was misty and very windy today with wind gust up to 25 Mph, but I decided to go anyhow.

I saw over on Rimfire Central when some had bought better scope mounts for the Marlins, seeing how they sometimes "Creep" in them grooves. So I bought some Leepers Accushot one-piece mounts with rings to try. One solid "bar" with three bolts to secure them. Worked like a charm. Although I thought I may have problem with the bolt 883 because it covers the top of the ejection port, but no issues with ejection or bolt clearance.

For some reason, bot the model 60 .22 lr and 883 .22 mag were shooting right. after some clicks to make it impact to the left it was right on. You can see the bottom left target where I wuz dialing it in and top shooting bulk Winchester 555 ammo.

Fired @ 25 meters. Marlin Model 60.

@ 25 meters Marlin 883 in .22 mag Winchester 40 grain JHP "hunting" ammo. To the right again and then I jacked to adjustments and raised it too much because I thought I wuz turning the cap/cover to take it off, but was "Clicking"...finally got it dialed in right. .22 mag is center and bottom right (first shots).

Next is Mosin Nagant 91/59 short rifle 7.62x54r and Steyr Mannlicher M-95 8X56R and I can't remember if the top or bottom target is the M-95 or Mn????

Finally I decide to shoot the Rem 700 in .223 @ 100 meters. I probably should have fired it right after the .22s and before I fired the thumpers (MN and M-95) and on a day where the wind was more calm, but its been a while because I'm usually shootin them all @ 50 meters so I don't have to move the target stand. Crosswind/gusts outta the west was blowing them little bullets to the right.

Nosler 52 grain Custom Competition BTHPs bullets. 24.5 grains AA 2230 "Data Powder" REM 6 1/2 primers.

    I always enjoy your range reports Chief. Just a man at the range with no agenda other than busting some caps.

    Looks like you had a good day at the range! The wind messed with the .223 but it still shot pretty good considering the windy conditions. I like the looks of the .22 rimfire mount for the Model 60 and the Marlin 883, and glad to hear that they work well. Glad enough that I ordered 4 for my rifles! You just enabled me out of some gun fund money. :roll2:

    I know, but not on Fort Hood, good place to shoot, but very structured environment.

    Next visit to kin on Sand Mountain I'll go woods walking and roll some targets of opportunity. :guns::guns:

    That's great Chief, you shoot for all the right reasons, mainly just having fun. I like your 22s. And those are some nice scopes too.

    I ain't gotta prove a thing to anybody and just please myself with my shootin. I tell ya some days are great on the range and others just kinda suck. No pun intended, but it's a "Hit and Miss" proposition. Because for no expected rhyme or reason sometimes everything shoots well and others you expect to don't. Sometimes you get good surprises from where you least expect it and disappointments too.

    All my guns are capable of far more accuracy than I can deliver with them.

    It's all good, though. :guns::guns::guns:
