Hey y'all !
The 30 day wait begins....I took the Multi-State CCW course yesterday. I did really well on the shooting proficiency "test" , scored a 232...I've been practicing alot , but was unprepared to shoot 1 handed. Training at Bill's Gun Shop is top notch (in my opinion) and highly recomend them for you fellow MN members.

Good for you! I just took my renewal class last week. Our local Sheriff's department put the class on for FREE! When asked my he was doing this, our sheriff said that he would like as many people in the county with their CCW and therefore teaches the class for free.

Cool....what county are you in ? Hennepin county Sheriff does the renewal for $50 or $75 (so I'm told)

I am in Pipestone Co, extreme SW Minnesota. Sheriff charges only $10 for renewal.

Good for you, Bill's is a great place to practice until somebody rents the .500 S&W or the .50, it sounds like their league nights are well attended.

Hello neighbor… Congratulations on the test and welcome to the CC world. I was checking out this map (see link below) for states that allow reciprocity for my state and found something interesting. I live in SD and am not allowed to carry in Minnesota or Nebraska. The rest of the surrounding states I could. Now if I had a non-residence license in Minnesota I could carry in all states around mine. Was wondering if anyone knew or could point me in the right direction on how to obtain such a license? The only reason Minnesota and Nebraska concern me is I live in the SE corner of SD and frequently travel these states. When at work I could be notified that I have to run to a jobsite in Minnesota and if I’m carrying I don’t have an option to drop my pistol off back home. I could leave it in my personal vehicle but I’m not one to leave a loaded gun in a vehicle like that. Just an idea I’m toying with!
