James Yeager's response policy makers at the Wounded Warrior Project.

There are a lot of people that don't like the guy, and mostly for justifiable reasons, but it's hard to find anything negative to say about his take/stand on this issue.

Recently WWP have stated that they do not want/take donations from gun related products or companies. After backlash from quite a few training companies they "appear" to have reversed their statements, but still.....if it wasn't their policy, they wouldn't have said it in the first place. WWP reps have said that their statement has been taken out of context or blown out of proportion.......it seems to me that it's sort of difficult to have any different context.
“WWP does not co-brand, create cause marketing campaigns or receive a percentage or a portion of proceeds from companies in which the product or message is sexual, political or religious in nature, or from alcohol or firearms companies.”

Apparently, after a bit of digging around, quite a bit of the funds donated to the WWP never get to the disabled veterans that it is intended for.

Yeager's response.

Whether you think he's an okay guy or a complete douche bag you gotta admit, it's a pretty cool thing that he's doing.

I give credit where it's due, and he deserves a pat on the back. Still think he is a doush, but henis doing something good.

Hopefully he won't have cameramen downrange while training a Wounded Warrior.

Yeah- I'm not a fan of James Yeager. but that is a hell of an offer. Good for him

Good offer, I'm not a fan, but good offer.

And I never knew of him not to like a shirt that's too tight....
    Meh.

FRANKLY, I don't want to hear WWP's side of it. I'm sick and tired of phony-baloney apologies, spin, clarifications, etc. There are other really good charities out there that help our wounded and crippled vets, and I'm simply going to support them instead. Adios WWP. Hello Hope For The Warriors.

Live the moment and do your part.

When I was in Gunnison CO getting a 1/4 pounder this past week.....A disabled vet came in with his wife and they had issues with the double doors....I broke from the line to help them in. Mark Stephenson (SSG-Army) lost both his legs from below the knees, and shrapnel from the mortar round tore out his neck making it hard to speak above a whisper.

I wheeled him, I ordered for him, I sat and dined with them upon their insistence.....great couple with the strength and resilience that only comes from the being a soldier with God covering your back. We talked and laughed at our experiences....complained about the system like soldiers do....it was better than a Thanksgiving meal......end-point, it was a small gesture, but Mark's wife had tears in her eyes that some stranger would take the time to help them...only because he's a brother-soldier.

Take a moment, look into their eyes and see them for who they are.....maybe only military people can see it......but it's there......and give a hand....they're too proud for hand-outs, but it's the little things that counts. I sleep better knowing that I helped a wounded vet for something so small as a meal at McDonalds...and that will stick with me forever.
