Recovered a revolver

Got my Model 65 3" from my sister. Here is one just like it, if the photo works. Just when I learn to use photobucket, they change it. Well, not JUST like it, mine has to old style cylinder latch.

    I hate you.

    I mean that with the greatest respect. But I want a 3" Model 65 or 13.
    Overkill is underrated.

    It was a gift from Athens Police Department when I retired from there. It was my issue revolver, but I hardly shot it, since I carried my personal 1911.
    Concealed carry is for protection, open carry is for attention.

    Nice revolver. I inherited an older model 13 with 4" bbl that belonged to my old man. Top pic, nickel plated recessed cylinder charge holes.

    I didn't get it from my retirement from the S.O. Got a H&K P7 from him. I got the Smith from my retirement from Athens PD, which was about 26 years ago.
