From the peoples republic of Chicago......

In such a Liberal utopia, how does anyone have guns to commit murders?

They aren't Chicago guns! They go to evil places and buy them and bring them back! If only we could eliminate all 300 million guns, it would work!!!

Back during Prohibition, Chicago became more violent than normal. After Prohibition was repealed, Chicago continued to be a violent city. Crime stayed high for a number of reasons, but the fact that the crime bosses and political leaders were joined at the hip and never had the surgery to separate themselves is the real reason for the continued violence. For over a hundred years the people have been conditioned to accept their lot, and don't have the good sense to clean house. They now accept the sort of benign dictatorship they have rather than work to make the changes that may, or may not, work. They have not yet been subjugated to the point that their chains have become intolerable.
