Who's Best Shot Men or Women?

Go to: fox5atlanta.com and check out the results of a pol on Face Book of who is a better shot. Look on the local news tab and scroll down to see the article and how to vote. I'll agree women are easier to teach because they don't have the built in cowboy complex. Story is interesting. Vote away!:yesno: Later,

Over the years, I've found that women who want to shoot are more receptive to instruction and end up being better shots that guys....and yes, the lack of ego is a big part of it.

Of all the Soldiers I have instructed, I have found that women are better shooters...Female Soldiers with a MOS that allows them to play in the band, shoot better durring CQC than Male Soldiers of a comparable MOS.

Look up the records of all shooting disciplines. Where are the women?

I have a cousin in the area near Soctt. She had never shot a handgun before.I had at the time, a Buckmark and a .38 S&W. I showed her how to align sights on the target, and she got ALL ten .22s in the X ring, as well as 4 of 5 38s in the center. She had no preconceived notions or ideas of how to aim or shoot. I set up a second target and she repeated the performance, with one improvement. She got all 5 38s in the X ring. We went to a local gun shop and I got her a 380. She shoots regularly, and is quite, quite good with it. Scott-remember Anne?

Seriously? We all know they were sent back to the Kitchen....Why put their names in a book, they shouldn't be reading.

If My wife sees this, I won't be typing for a while....

Look at the womens record on a shooting discipline. Then look up the mens record in the same......

All things being equal, my money would be on the woman.

While women in general tend to learn faster and get better quicker, they don't tend to take to competitive shooting like men do. So as a whole women tend to get better quicker but in the long run SOME men tend to take to it a lot more seriously.

    This ^

The gears turn faster on women from my experience. But, if a guy actually gets into gear, they seem to take it to a higher level of capability. Physical design tends to allow the man to run a gun better. If they can train their brain first.

I tell you what-- I remember my parents coming back from "range dates" with my step-dad all pissed off because my mom would mop the floor with him. When me and my brothers got a bit older and started to hold our own while shooting, mom would come through and smoke us-- clays, revolvers, pistols, rifles. It didn't matter. My mom is one bad mother behind a trigger!

I did lots of remedial Instruction for qualification for NYCPD, especially female desk jockeys that were dumped without ceremony onto the streets, at that time female Officers were flunked and not helped much, these were serious students that wanted to learn, and I never had even one student that did not pass with flying colors, in fact some of them became serious competition on various teams and the local bowling pin shoots once the shooting bug bit them.
