  That brings back memories, my oldest daughter who's now 50 years old, tells me how much she liked the smell of that stuff when she was a kid watching me clean my rifle and handguns.

  It's not quite the same smell that it was 20 or 30 years ago. A little sweeter, perhaps? Anyway, the old lady doesn't gripe as much about its smell!

  Who was it on here some years ago who took a .22 rifle and some Hoppe's #9 into the bath tub with himself and caught the Dickens getting it off his skin and tub?

  I love the smell of Hoppe's. A dear gunner friend used to come over to my place, grab a nice old glass bottle of good No. 9, take the cap off and have a good whiff!
