Hi all.
I won't talk about my guns yet as
1) I have the pics on my phone and can't post em from here
2) I am outta cash :-)
I plan on taking up Trap this spring but will take that to a different forum but have a few pistols and a deer shotgun which with a 30" full choke barrel doesn't make a good defense gun for the home. I live in the restricted state of MA though after the goings on in NY doesn't seem so bad.
I read with interest the posting on self defense training and will have to see if we can try that out at the club.
I am thinking of getting a Remington 1187 for trap and also for the home.
Anyway, after several days of reading very informative posts here while a foot injury healed I figured I would post today. Thanks for all the great information.

Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.... now who's bringing the hot wings? :jester:
I have my dads Winchester model 12 w/30" full choke barrel (1944 build) which I need to get checked out before I fire it. My understanding is that the full choke isn't right for a beginner. Also, my GF wants to shoot too so that was why one of the club members suggested the 1187.
I figured the 1187 could double for home defense.
If I get proficient and seriously hooked on trap I may consider a dedicated trap gun.
Cleaning out moms house also netted my childhood (and presumably my dads as well) 1934 Savage model 3b .22. Once the mud dries a bit I would like to shoot it too for old times sake.

Good luck on trap shooting, when I "tried" it...I ended up shooting 3 nights a week at three different clubs for about 4 years before I finally realized how much money I had sunk into breaking little clay disks...but then I DID have a lot of fun in the process...
Lots of shotgunning there........:tooth:

Trap is worse than heroin. There's treatment for heroin addiction! :tooth:
