Absolutely hilarious, this gave me a good laugh today. I've come to similar conclusions, but my .45 has a good spot in my truck.
Well at present, I'm not much better off since I let my concealed carry license laps. But I do want to get re-instated because while I had it for 5 years it gave me some confidence. Now I feel naked without it. I keep thinking back to the woman that went into the Luby's in Killeen TX with her parents to eat that day and the slime bag drove his truck through the wall and got out and started killing people. She testified before several state legislatures plus the U. S. body in support of CCW laws. She said she had her pistol in her car and wanted to bring it in her purse but she was getting cold feet lately because they were making such a big deal about people illegally carrying guns into businesses. And remember, at that time there was no legal means for a plain civilian to carry a gun. But she made the point that if she had had her pistol with her in that Luby's that day, her parents might still be alive along with several more because she had the opportunity to shoot the guy and end the carnage. Her testimony in front of several legislative bodies helped get CCW laws passed around the country. I don't want to get caught in the position she was in that day at Luby's.
Daddy, what's an enabler?
Son that's somebody with nothing to do with his time but keep me in trouble with mom.
Generally it's just a Swiss Army Mini Champ, an Emerson, some loose change, a cell phone and my wallet. If I have to run an errand to the mall, the bank, or my LGS, I'll tuck either my Shield or my M&P45 into a Comp-Tac IWB.
The only time I went with a full load-out was Inauguration Day 2008. That day I carried my M&P45 with two reloads and my PF9 in addition to the daily stuff. I figured if something happened at the ceremony, I wasn't going to get caught in the resulting social upheaval nekkid.

I've put enough rounds through my Chopped Glock, that I'm now comfortable carrying it. I've also gotten a newer, lighter cell phone, and a new left handed cutty, pokey, stabby thing. Even with an assisted opening knife, I've never been comfortable getting a left handed folder out and open. With a fixed blade, ya just grip it'n rip it. I'm really digging the little Brous SOG.
I'm too lazy and technotarded to post a pic. I can, it just takes a long time and it's always just a thumbnail. Annoying.
But, my carry of the day (and pretty much always) is-
On Me:
Keltec PF9

wine key (work, I bartend).
In the murse:
Spare mag

flashlight, nothing fancy
ibuprophen
superglu
bandaids
darts- not ninjer type, just for the dartboard at work.

Do you wear one on your back also?
I know it's been stated before, but a belt that is designed for carrying is, IMO, an absolute necessity.
