Wonder how much tax payer funding that study took?

But, otoh, it may all be worth it if it will help someone develop an 'all clear' signal to fool the little darlings to pop out of their holes for guys like me and Mike to shoot.

IMO, they may have the capability of speaking, but their comprehension skills are severely lacking. When you can take out ten or more adult pdogs in three minutes or less, all within a 30 foot diameter circle, it's pretty evident to me that while they are making plenty of noise, nobody's listening.

While pdogs can be skittish after they've been shot at a bit, for the most part they're not. I've pounded (and I mean pounded) the same dogtown 2-3 days a week for months on end before they seemed to start noticing the truck.

And when you're around, they don't say anything. They can't see that far!

All joking aside, I bet at 1K+ they never equate the "boom" that comes rolling in a couple seconds late with anything amiss.

I recall spotting for Scooter one day while he was trying his 6BR at 600 yards. I was even with the target and about 15 yards beside it. The crack as the bullet passed (thru the paper) was pretty loud, but the report from the rifle was much later and not loud at all. It was a calm day. With any kind of wind at all I figure you'd have been hard pressed to even hear it.

Past 300 yards or so, you can't even tell where the shot is coming from:jester:

Guess that would depend on the firearm. As I recall during the crack and thump drill I wasn't half bad at "guessing" range and direction.

This "Scientist" can talk to Prarie Dogs. He's a regular Dr. Doolittle. He needs to lay off the whiskey and crack for awhile, or stop hangin out in the Opium Den.

I've been going out in the bay trying to strike up a conversation with a Dolphin, but I can't get one to bite, pardon the pun...... What are we gonna do with these Fruitcake Bunny Huggers???
