Who ever thought we would be in agreement with Putin?

I got this in an email and haven't verified it yet, but believe I saw something about it on the news a few months ago.

Who ever thought we would be in agreement with Putin?

Putin’s Speech on Feb. 04, 2013
This is one time our elected leaders should pay attention to the advice of Vladimir Putin....

How scary is that?

On February 4th, 2013, Vladimir Putin, the Russian president, addressed the Duma, (Russian Parliament),
and gave a speech about the tensions with minorities in Russia:

"In Russia live Russians. Any minority, from anywhere, if it wants to live in Russia, to work and eat in
Russia, should speak Russian, and should respect the Russian laws. If they prefer Sharia Law, then
we advise them to go to those places where that's the state law. Russia does not need minorities.
Minorities need Russia, and we will not grant them special privileges, or try to change our laws to fit
their desires, no matter how loud they yell 'discrimination'. We better learn from the suicides of America, England, Holland and France, if we are to survive as a nation. The Russian customs and traditions
are not compatible with the lack of culture or the primitive ways of most minorities. When this honorable legislative body thinks of creating new laws, it should have in mind the national interest first, observing
that the minorities are not Russians.

The politicians in the Duma gave Putin a five minute standing ovation.

If you keep this to yourself, you are part of the problem!

Reminds me of the speech Teddy Roosevelt gave saying basically the same thing.

"We should insist that if the immigrant who comes here does in good faith become an

American and assimilates himself to us he shall be treated on an exact equality with every one else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed or birth-place or origin.

But this is predicated upon the man's becoming in very fact an American and nothing but an American. If he tries to keep segregated with men of his own origin and separated from the rest of America, then he isn't doing his part as an American. There can be no divided allegiance here. . . We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language, for we intend to see that the crucible turns our people out as Americans, of American nationality, and not as dwellers in a polyglot boarding-house; and we have room for but one soul loyalty, and that is loyalty to the American people."

Good on TR.........need more politicians to grow some balls and stick up fer America again. Why did they/we bother to build America if they want to give it away.

But if we make it hard for them, why would they keep voting for the libs?
When my parents emigrated here, the assumed the american lifestyle. The retained their cultural value of respect, hard work, and dignity. They came here not for the handouts, but for the opportunity to make it on their own. And they did. My father created a business, employed people, and never turned his back on his mentality of "nothing is given, but everything must be earned".
Things have changed. Now the government wants to control everything and give handouts to whomever they feel, which in turn makes us more vulnerable. People used to leave their countries to seek freedoms and fortune in the land of opportunity. Now they come here to get handouts. How does this benefit the country? It doesn't, it benefits the lawmakers.

It does sound to good to be true doesn't it. I think it is a E HOAX spun off from an Australian's speech/comments.
