I ain't believing it

Went to a nice gun store in Atlanta. They had a good selection of military rifles on the wall, at high prices. Anyway, they had 3 1903A4s on the wall. I asked if they were "original" A4s or rebuilds. They assured me that the guns and scopes were original. I think they said they were "restored."

Sorry, but I don't believe it. I believe they were rebuilds, fake copies. I don't know the value of an original A4 or the availability, but seeing three in one shop raises my doubt alert to condition red. I also hear they're so valuable they're frequently faked, and it takes an expert to determine a real one.

What do you think?

For one shop to have 3? Doubt it.

James River builds them and so does Gibbs Rifle company. 1200.00 ish. They build them off of real demilled receivers that get tested, so I guess they are "real" and rebuilt. They are 03AFaux's like the one I built except I would guess that the scopes are re manufactured **** glass by Leatherwood.

Easy way to tell, if you can afford it, it likely isnt real.
It's boring, and your lack of creativity knows no bounds.

    The scopes look like Weavers.
