Hey all, met some G&A guys at Lone Star yesterday. Nice bunch of guys.

My wife, kids, and I have been doing family/social shooting meets, aimed (pun intended) at families and newbies, around Texas for a couple of years.

    Here are some pics: http://texasgunowner.com/forum/member-pictures/7732-9-17-austin-shoot-meet-eat.html

BTW, Kreuz has the best bbq in the world, but horrible sides (think shredded cardboard). Blacks has good meat & sides. Smitty's is by far the worst restaurant in Texas. All are pricey.

Chisolm Trail is where most locals and TGO members like to eat. Our family of four ate their yesterday for $25. We hit Kreuz, but never told anyone until now :rotflmao:, on our way out of town.

I'll have to try Chisholm Trail next time.

Chisolm Trail probably has the best sausage in Lockhart. We can try different BBQ joints for each trip.

So do I! We had a great time, and watched real, honest to goodness RAIN clouds build over the 100 yard berm, and left right as the rain started. Any day we have water fall out of the sky is a GREAT day!

I think we will be doing another one of these soon.

Excellent, I will keep my eyes out for it. I haven't been getting enough trigger time lately...
