In Bakersfield you have to watch the news to see if you can light your fire!
I just started a fire in the wood burner.

I liked the part about only burning seasoned wood. It will not smoke as much. Yea right. If the cover blows off the wood pile and it gets wet it will smoke like crazy. This will shut down the Memphis in May barbecue cooking contest. There is more smoke down by the river than you can see through but it sure smells good.

What about when they burn the stubble in the cut wheat fields?

In honor of the EPA's ruling on new woodstoves and fireplaces, I spent the previous two days burning off two years worth of brush from trimming trees in my garden. I wish I was off work tonight, I would have a fire in the fireplace to combat the colder temps. They can attempt to breed with a rotationally moving pastry.

Here they come, the Federal SMOKE police! C'mon now, really?? First the coal fired power plants, and now wood heated homes. The EPA can bite it!

It's more than just stubble fields...fire is vital to the health of the prairie and has been since, well, since there has been prairie...and pastures get burned off regularly out here. Also...there are some species of trees that need fire to reproduce.

Everyone in the EPA that thinks this is a good idea should be thrown in a wood chipper and then the residue burned in a bonfire; just in case this kind of stupidity could be recycled if it isn't destroyed. Seriously.

If this isn't feasible, a good caning for all involved would be a satisfactory substitute. Repeat as needed for this and other stupid ideas from this bunch of idiots. Aversion therapy can work if it is applied consistently.
