No such thing as too dead.
Loads in .458 Win mag for stuff other than cape buffalo...

I can load up stuff even gentler than they have listed.
Would you please enlighten us and explain the threshold that defines too much velocity to shoot a deer with? Perhaps what defines too much energy? I'd like an explanation of too much bullet diameter as well. Possibly case capacity of powder? Case length? Bullet weight?
At what point do I have "too much gun"?
What defines this and who defined it? Please........do tell.
Mine is loaded full bore stupid!! It's a .458 Win Mag after all. Might as well. Why not?
Yeppers....the deer just does not care....The ones I shot with a .45-70 (also a .458) folded up and died just like the ones I shot with any of the others...

Probably hunt quail with a 10 gauge, after all a quail can't ever be to dead.
Whitetail doe at approximately 50 yards with a 500gr RNSP out of a iron sighted .458 Win Mag.
You are correct about the meat loss. I lost some ribs............that I don't eat anyway. Ate both shoulders and backstraps. And tenderloins. What else would you like me to eat?
So, what am I undercompensating for when I shoot deer with a .223 Remington?
Oh, and would you please answer my question as to defining too much gun? I'd like to learn.
