The wife set out the last package of deer-burger for dinner tonight. :cuss::bang:

They haven't released the archery season dates yet but typically it opens in late Sept to the 1st of Oct. so it'll be a while til I can restock:tissue:

    Around here folks just keep an eye out for fresh road killed deer on the highway. I know an older guy that's retired (NOT ME!) that hits the two main roads to the nuke plant around 7:00 a.m. most mornings to pick up the fresh killed ones along the highway. The 'ballistic coefficient' of some of the 'projectiles' damages a lot of meat, but he salvages a good deal of it. Does his own butchering, too. It's legal in TN, and letting that fresh meat go to wast is silly.
